How to photograph Make Up

Dazzledust25 from Makeupandbeauty.ie asked me on twitter, what was the best way to photograph make up. So i did a video tutorial on photographing make up. Because i come from motion media rather than static i use the concept of constant indirect light rather than using a flash, below are the results of photographing simple make up with a flash and without a flash using the ISO and F stop on the camera to control the amount of light on the final image.

  4. Love this post! Thank you so much for your tips. Ive got a good camera (Canon EOS500D) but I really suck at using it! I've tried playing aroudn with the settings to shoot makeup stills but I get them all wrong.

Lets assume Im photographing outside, what would you say is the best F and ISO for me to use to get sharp pics? The probelm is my images look very fuzzy aroudn the edges

    Thanks for your help :)
